Your personal information is provided to Deaf Indigenous Community Consultancy Pty Ltd for the purpose of supporting and managing stronger engagement and consultations practices and to provide you with the most appropriate cultural disability services and support deemed fair and necessary, including:
- Delivering training to services that will help support you in your participation as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person with a disability in day to day activities.
- To provide evaluation and monitoring practices by services and contracted providers who engage with you.
- To be allowed access to contacting you directly about the various services that previously and currently support you.
If you do not provide some or all of your personal information, Deaf Indigenous Community Consultancy Pty Ltd may not be able to provide you with appropriate disability cultural consultative services and assistance. Your personal information may be collected from and given to third parties for the purpose of providing you with culturally appropriate services and assistance including:
- National Disability Insurance Scheme
- Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Agencies
- State or Territory Departmental Agencies
- Commonwealth Agencies
- Registered contracted providers of other agencies where those providers are delivering services to you
- Other parties who also deliver services to you
Your personal information may also be used by the Deaf Indigenous Community Consultancy Pty Ltd or given to other third parties where you have agreed, or where it is otherwise permitted, including where it is required or authorised by or under an Australian law, such as social security law, a court or tribunal order, or where a duty of care exists.
Agreement to the collection of sensitive information In order to provide you with appropriate services and support, Deaf Indigenous Community Consultancy Pty Ltd may also collect sensitive information, which is a type of personal information.
Sensitive information may include details of your cultural or linguistic background, criminal record, and medical information, gender, disability, age and language preference.
